Did you know that in Sicily there are really a lot of sites recognized by Unesco?
But then, what are the Unesco sites, do you know?
Based on an international treaty known as the Convention on the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage (adopted in 1972), UNESCO recognizes that some places on Earth are of “exceptional universal value” and therefore must be part of the common heritage of the humanity.
In our beautiful region we have, as I told you, the good fortune to host quite a few, much more than the regional average.
Now I list them and above all I invite you to visit them all! Plan a trip and an itinerary maybe, why not, to see and experience them all in one breath. You will notice that there are works, places and arts in the list. So get ready for extraordinary foods and works, arts you did not know, cities incredibly rich in culture and full of wonders.
