In the heart of the Madonie Mountains lies Geraci Siculo, a charming medieval village that hosts one of Sicily’s most unique attractions: the Salto dei Ventimiglia. This spectacular glass and steel walkway extends about three meters into the void, offering a stunning view of the surrounding valleys.
Inaugurated in 2014, the structure is located in the historic center of the village, just a short walk from San Giuliano Church. It marks the spot where, according to tradition, Count Francesco I Ventimiglia leapt into the ravine in 1338 to escape the royal troops of King Peter II, who were besieging Geraci.
