Panarea is the smallest island of the Aeolian Islands, with just over three km² of territory and 215 inhabitants. It is so human that it represents only a fraction of the town of Lipari, yet at the same time is one of the favorite holiday destinations. In ancient times it was called Euonymos, that is “the one that is to the left”, that is to the left of the sailors who from Lipari were heading to Sicily.
A bit like the red carpet among the archipelago of beautiful islands, Panarea is the one that has the perfect mix of social life,
relaxation, nature and also lots of fun!
By day its two beaches give breathtaking baths, then in the evening San Pietro is populated and everything becomes tremendously glamorous. It is no mystery that not many years ago Panarea was discovered by Milanese celebrities, who as soon as they saw it, they immediately turned it into a summer meeting place where they spent pleasant holidays together.
The style of the island however is really essential, made simple lines, very white, materials purely of the place.
Among the flora we have hibiscus, caper plants and bougainvillea colorful.
The walks are special (here are not allowed cars, if not small bees-crosso for the transport of luggage), in fact you can look at the beautiful islets that frame: Basiluzzo, Dattilo, Bottaro, Lisca bianca, Lisca nera, Ants, Panarelli and Stromboli.
