The Nicolaci Palace is one of the most important examples of Baroque architecture in Noto, Sicily. Built in the 18th century for the Nicolaci family and situated in the central Via Nicolaci, the palace is famous for its richly ornate facade, with wrought-iron balconies, putti, and lion masks.
The palace was restored and reopened to visitors in the 1990s, becoming one of the city’s main tourist attractions. Inside you can admire the frescoes, tiled floors and period furniture, which offer a fascinating journey into the past.
Every year, during the Carnival of Noto, the palace offers a light and sound show called “Meeting of Civilizations,” which celebrates the beauty and diversity of the world’s cultures. The Nicolaci Palace is certainly a must-see destination for Noto visitors who loved history and Baroque art.
