Letojanni is a town located on the eastern coast of Sicily, just a few kilometers north of the famous city of Taormina. It overlooks the Ionian Sea and is known for its beautiful beaches, crystal-clear waters, and breathtaking views.
Letojanni’s beach is long and sandy, and is ideal for those seeking relaxation and tranquility. There are also many activities to do, such as swimming, snorkeling, and boat trips. Furthermore, the town is well-connected to Taormina, a popular tourist destination with a wide choice of restaurants, bars, and shops.
Letojanni has a long history dating back to the Greek era, as evidenced by the remains of the Temple of Apollo. Over the years, the territory has been disputed several times between the two neighbouring towns of Taormina and Forza d’Agrò. It was only in 1952 that the municipality was able to gain its independence, definitively detaching itself from Gallodoro (inland municipality) to become an autonomous institution.
Additionally, the town also hosts the Church of San Giuseppe, which dates back to the 18th century.
Letojanni is the ideal tourist destination not only to relax but also to explore the history and culture of eastern Sicily.
