The Aeolian Islands have been included in the World Heritage List for their extreme beauty and close contact with nature in an almost surreal landscape. The best known of the archipelago in northern Sicily are Alicudi, Filicudi, Lipari, Salina, Vulcano, Panarea and Stromboli; however, five additional islets are also part of the archipelago, which are located near Panarea: Basiluzzo, Dattilo, Lisca Nera, Bottaro and Lisca Bianca.
All of the islands are of volcanic origin and each has its own strongly marked identity, with beaches, caves, coves and characteristic little places to spend unforgettable evenings.
